The FT-IR Instruction Training Course is designed for those users new to FT-IR data acquisition and sample preparation. Laboratory teaching emphasizes measurement using various sampling accessories and spectral manipulations with the OPUS software. Three optional special topics are given on Thursday on specific advanced techniques.

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of the Windows NT or Windows 2000 operating system and a familiarity with your Bruker FT-IR and FT-Raman instrument. The basics aspects of the operating system (e.g. copying files, formatting disks, installing printers) can be practiced in the tutorials provided with the operating system.

Description: The course will consist of lectures, laboratories sessions, and demonstrations which emphasize basic principles of FT-IR instrumentation, data processing, sampling techniques, the OPUS/IR PC software, and introductory instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

Schedule: The core course will run from Monday through Wednesday. Classes start Monday @ 10:00 AM , Tuesday - Wednesday @ 9:30 AM

Cost: The cost of the User's Training Course is $1,400 which, includes course materials. If your Bruker FT-IR or FT-Raman spectrometer has been installed within the last 12 months, one tuition is normally included as part of your purchase (please refer to your system quotation).

Meals: We will be serving lunch during the training courses, if you have any food allergies or special restrictions, please let us know in advance.
