Application Scientist

Bruker Mexicana, S.A. de C.V. is seeking an Applications Scientist for support of our and FT-IR, FT-Raman, Dispersive-Raman and benchtop NMR product lines.

Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Chemistry or Physics is required with an established expertise in spectroscopy and general analytical techniques. Experience in NIR for QA/QC applications in industry highly desired.
Good communication skills are essential with excellent writing skills being highly valued.
The candidate must be able to work well in a fast-paced team oriented technical environment.
Proficiency in English required.
Must be able to travel to the USA, Germany and throughout Latin America

Duties:

This position involves significant interaction with our customers to properly define which Bruker solution would be best suited for their analytical, research or QA/QC applications, as well as active support of our installed customer base. The individual will organize in-office and on-site training courses and demonstrations; coordinate attendance to trade shows and conferences. It is expected that the successful candidate would be highly visible in the scientific community with respect to conference attendance and presentations.

Field Service Engineer

Bruker Mexicana, S.A. de C.V. is seeking a Field Service Engineer for support of our and FT-IR, FT-Raman, Dispersive-Raman and benchtop NMR product lines.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering required.
Working knowledge of Windows 2000 and Windows XP
Working knowledge of optics.
Work experience with FTIRs and general analytical instrumentation
Proficiency in the English required.
Must be able to travel to the USA, Germany and throughout Latin America

Duties:

Will be responsible for final testing, installing, and customer training. On-site service and support of Bruker Optics systems (FT-IR, FT-Raman, Dispersive Raman, benchtop NMRs. Should be able to function independently in a self-directed, goal-oriented environment. Periodic travel (60%) for installation and service is required.
